The
Objective of the Basel
Convention Regional Coordinating Centre, Nigeria
is to
strengthen the capacity of the countries under the Regional Centres
in South Africa, Senegal and Egypt in complying with the technical,
legal and institutional requirements for the environmentally sound
management of hazardous waste including the adoption of cleaner
production technologies.
